About Me Page
Mike
has been one of the leading Wedding Photographers in Cheshire for over 25
years. He started by working for one of the largest Wedding studios in
Manchester as an assistant photographer. After 2 years he left to set up his
own studio in Disley (by Lyme Hall), and also worked at a large commercial
studio in Whaley Bridge.
His first love was for
Wedding photography and he developed his own unique style in the way he shot
both traditional and informal weddings. In only a few years this led to most
of the weddings that he did, coming from "word of mouth" inquires and
recommendations from churches, hotels, wedding hire companies, florists and
a whole host of people involved in the planning of weddings.
In 2000
Mike saw the potential of Digital photography as the way forward. He
invested thousands of pounds in equipment and top of the range computers to
enable him to get the most from the software to enhance the digital image.
By 2001 Digital was equal to film in quality, but had lots of advantages to
the wedding photographer as he did not have to carry around a heavy studio
camera and tripod.
The advantages to
the Bride and Groom are that we can move more freely, capturing those
moments that cannot be set up, and we are hardly noticed as the wedding
flows. We save time on the day as we do not have to make any changes on the
camera to get special effects such as Black & White, Sepia, Soft Focus as
all this is done later on the computer if you would like it (the original
image is not altered as a copy is made). It is also important to note that
if there is a spot on a face or a stain on their clothes, these can also be
removed digitally. |
